It looks at your face the way a person would — skin, proportions, the lot — and estimates how old you appear. It's a guess about how old you look, not a record of how old you are. Lighting, angles and a good night's sleep all move it.

It estimates how old an adult looks; it cannot prove anyone's real age. A clear, front-facing photo in even light usually gives the most useful result, while lighting, expression, camera angle and image quality can all move the estimate. We show a confidence range because a single exact number would promise more certainty than the model has. The underlying model was independently tested in the Australian Government's 2025 Age Assurance Technology Trial. If you tell it your real age, it uses how sure it was about its guess to work out roughly how unusual that guess is for someone your age — so "younger-looking than about 9 in 10 people your age". Your real age never leaves your browser. It's a rough, fun estimate, not a medical opinion.
